Basic Airplane Class: 2.10 External RF

There are four context-sensitive choices which change the subsequent selections that follow the choices.  For our class, we’re using the internal RF module, so we’ll  just describe what the external RF Mode screens include and move on:

  • DSM2 or LP45 – use DSM2 for Spektrum “hack” modules.  Note that the Orange DSM and Spektrum DM9 modules both need PPM.
  • XJT or D16 – context operating modes are the same fields as Internal RF modes above
  • PPM – use for generic modules.  Context fields allow setting the frame length, pulse length, and polarity of the PPM frame. The frame length is automatically adjusted to a safe value when the number of transmitted channels is changed.  Advanced users can still adjust it afterwards if necessary.
  • OFF – the default selection.
